This is our eighth vintage of Phobia, and it has been one of our most popular wines since inception. This release is a blend of 40% Syrah and 60% Merlot. The Syrah was sourced from nearby Maple Leaf & Artemisia Vineyards, while the Merlot is from our own Estate. Medium to full body; aromatic, with soft tannins and a touch of pepper. Barrel aged 17 months. Plum, cassis and cherry flavours with a long finish. Pair with lamb, barbeque, pizza, pasta or hamburgers. Can be aged to further soften and enable the aromas to fully develop. Point scores pending – typically 91>92 points. Previously Gold Medal in National competition. Production of 300 cases this year.
