2022 Rose

$34.00

This year we selected Gamay, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Pinot Noir grapes to form our cuvee.  Following crush, the grapes soak on the skins for  just a few hours before gently pressing. The colour is  a beautiful light pink hue.  Aromas are reminiscent of watermelon, pink grapefruit, and strawberry.  Fermented quite dry, the finish is very crisp & clean with a light spicy flavour. Ideal for summer patios and pool-side, or pair with paté, salads, fowl, lightly spicy dishes and BBQ. Production 175 cases. Our 2019 vintage was awarded Best in Class, Double Gold medal at the All Canadian Wine Championship.

Description

Double Gold Medal – Best in Class – All Canadian Wine Championships – 2019 vintage.

“This wine blends juice of Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, with added touches of Merlot and Pinot Noir. The wine presents with an appealing rose petal hue, with aromas and flavours of watermelon, cherry and raspberry. The finish is crisp, dry and refreshing. 91.”  John Schreiner June 2021 – johnschreiner.blogspot.com

2019 Vintage Review -“This wine is made with Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. The pale rose petal hue gives the wine eye appeal. It has aromas of raspberry and cherry, leading an abundance of fruity flavours: raspberry, apple and red plum. The bright acidity of the 2019 vintage gives the wine a refreshing finish. 91.” – John Schreiner
